Micro blog post

"Lock your knee," he says.  It's too hot, too hard, and everything's a mess. There's no way this shit will work. She's back tomorrow anyway.

(140 characters including spaces.)

This post was inspired by The Times Twitter microfiction competition - loved the winning entries - because "Anyone who cannot handle 140 characters should not be trusted with a whole paragraph."  It's harder than it looks!

I like.

But it ain't fiction. At least in my case the not working part is not. And you could easily trim 18 characters, maybe as many as 27 :)

I love micro-writing. Do you know of the 6-word craze?

Alright Duffy, let's see yours! This was a totally novice attempt. ;-)

Michelle, that is pretty much the most classic one! I was trying to have some character development too... LOL.

Dorothy, I've seen a few of those. Fun!

I thought of some ways to shorten the last sentence, but they don't quite get the same sense. The best I could come up with there was "Yet she's back anon."

And I refuse to tweet. Since you've read my blog, you probably have a fair sense that I don't place that high a value on brevity.
