Teacher Training Spring 2010

I'm actually kind of scared to post this.  Don't ask me why.  For the past couple days, I've been telling this to anyone who stands still long enough to listen!

But, yep.

You all guessed it.

I'm going!

I started figuring this out a few weeks ago, and lately a lot of things have come together fast.  This is definitely, beyond the shadow of a doubt, something that is meant to happen right now.  Just in the last few days, since AFTER I wrote that entry about pieces falling into place, a couple other big things have happened that proved I am on the right track.  I need to wait until a few things are finalized, but I have some cool stories that I'll be sharing eventually.

But I'm ready to say this much: Bikram Yoga Teacher Training Spring 2010, starting on April 18th in Vegas - or maybe starting on another date in another location - doesn't matter!  Wherever and whenever it is, I'm going to be there.  I'll be teaching classes by the beginning of the summer.

Where's the CAPS LOCK and exclamation!!!!1!!1!! marks, you ask?  Oh man, I've just used them all up.  I've gone all the way through excited and come out on the other side, and I think I need a nap.  They haven't invented a punctuation mark that comes close to conveying how I feel right now.  I don't have the vocabulary for it.  I am just SO happy right now.

Dialogue is playing on permanent loop through my head and I'm still 6 months out.  Whoa boy.  These 6 months are going to FLY past.  I just want to enjoy the anticipation!  Every morning when I wake up, I feel like I'm a kid at 6am on Christmas morning, in that moment when you still have to wait quietly because it's not QUITE time to open the presents yet...  It's a little bit like that.

More later...

I will be one of your loudest cheerleaders throughout this journey, Juliana. I'm so, so, SO excited for you.

And, of course, so excited for me---because lo and behold, soon enough, I will be able to take one of your classes. I cannot wait.

The pieces---they are coming together, and, better still, they *fit*. Ain't it grand??

Big hugs, my friend.

Here is me: **jumping up and down, twirling in circles, doing kartwheels (ok, maybe not kartwheels, I never was able to master that as a kid) and crossing my fingers** "Please Mr. Bikram keep the teacher training here in Vegas this spring!!! Please don't change it!!!!!"
Yippee and congrats woman! whoo hooooooo!!!!

Woo hoo for you! Next spring is not my time, but maybe next fall... Everyone in their own good time, right? I'm excited for you. This yoga is so much a part of your life already that being able to teach it must be a rush to think about.

sign, oh soooo jealous! I was just visiting vegas this week and took class with the trainees. I was in an elated state of mind, a natural yoga high for days! You will be a great teacher, keep us informed when you are teaching back in Boston, I'm in NH and would come down to take your class.
Laura
p.s. The tent was NOT hot, not like we are used to here! Only the floor was hot.

Congratulations. It's about time, and you are going to be a fantastic teacher.

Aw, thanks Min, that is the best compliment!

Laura, I've HEARD that the tent in Vegas is having some temperature regulation issues. Sounds like there were some VERY unhappy and dehydrated people the first time they pumped heat under the floor!! But that's AWESOME that you had such a good time visiting. I love the big classes!! By the way, where in NH are you? I have a lot of friends who teach up there...

Duffy - "it's about time" was very nearly the title of this post. I knew I could count on you to get right to the point!! ;-)

Yayayayayayayayayayay!!!!!! I'm so happy that you are following your bliss. Isn't it amazing when you follow your heart, everything just falls into place if you allow it and have faith that it will?

Congratulations!!! I'm really proud of you!!!

Thanks JoJo! Yes, it is totally amazing. :)

Leigh, AWWWWW, thanks so much, you are lovely. I'm thinking right now that I'll just post weekend updates from training, so you can keep following the story!

Shabs, yes, you will definitely have to hook me up with your friends in the spring! Are you on facebook? We should connect over there...

Any chance you could provide some advice about whether to compete in the yoga asana championships this year? I've only been practicing seriously for about seven months. Love it so much and want to participate, but don't want to waste the judges' time. Any suggestions for decision-making?

thedancingj said...

Yes, I have many thoughts - I'm emailing you. :)

Putting it in writing for the world to see makes it just a little more real, eh? I'm so happy you've officially come to the decision! YOU, my friend, are going to be an extraordinary teacher. The journey has just begun.

Hey J-yes I am on facebook. Was about to post my email here but then thought hmmm i'll try to find you first. Did a search for 'Juliana yoga' and I'm pretty sure you were my first result haha!! :)

Thank you Danielle!!! Yep... it is growing more and more real every day. I'm still kind of shocked that it is really happening.

Cristina! My favorite yoga mouse!! So happy to "hear" from you again. :) I hope you are right!
